Florida Oncology & Hematology Relocates Clinic to Clearwater
The practice is now open to new and current patients.
CLEARWATER, Fla., February 12, 2024 – Community oncology practice Florida Oncology & Hematology, a partner practice of American Oncology Network (AON) (Nasdaq: AONC), has relocated its Safety Harbor clinic to 3220 McMullen Booth Road in Clearwater. The clinic is now open to patients.
The new clinic includes six exam rooms for patient privacy and 21 infusion chairs for patients receiving infusion or oncology treatments. Additionally, the clinic is set up with an onsite laboratory, allowing patients to have lab tests done and receive results during their appointments.
Board-certified medical oncologist and hematologist Jose Alemar, MD, remains the primary physician of Florida Oncology & Hematology and has been treating a wide range of cancer and blood diseases for more than 18 years. Dr. Alemar will be joined at the new clinic by Board-certified nurse practitioner Michelle Manias, APRN.
“Our patients have, first and foremost, been our purpose — the reason we do what we do,” said Dr. Alemar. “The location of the new clinic was chosen to ensure that our patients feel comfortable and safe from the moment they walk through the door. While our address is changing, our dedication to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care remains the same. The new clinic will allow us to continue offering high-quality cancer care and services to the community while guaranteeing convenient accessibility for our patients.”
Florida Oncology & Hematology is equipped to deliver the latest cancer care and therapies at its new location. Through its partnership with AON, the practice can provide additional services to patients such as in-house pathology services and specialty pharmacy, and care coordination support and financial counseling for patients among other benefits.
“I am eager to continue providing care to my patients and community at our new Clearwater location,” said Dr. Alemar. “Thank you to our patients and their families for continuing to trust us with their care.”
