Shivtaj Mann, DO is triple board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in hematology, oncology, and internal medicine. He has a special interest in leukemia, lymphoma, and myeloma, and has clinical and research experience in treating gastrointestinal, thoracic, and genitourinary malignancies.
Dr. Mann completed his undergraduate studies at UCLA and earned his medical degree from Nova Southeastern University. He completed his internal medicine residency at Lehigh Valley Health Network, where his research in immunology and oncology was presented at various conferences, including the American College of Physicians, and published in journals such as the Journal of Clinical Oncology and Journal of Immunology. He then completed his fellowship in hematology and oncology at the University of Arizona, where he served as chief fellow. During his fellowship, his research abstract on the use of CAR T-cell therapy in relapsed refractory lymphoma was published in the Journal of Clinical Oncology. He has a strong interest in the role of diet in improving cancer survivorship and has authored work on the topic, published in Nutrients.
Dr. Mann currently serves as the physician chair of the Lee Health Anticoagulation Committee. He collaborates closely with academicians at Tampa General and Moffitt Cancer Center to provide and facilitate academic oncologic care in a community setting.
In his free time, Dr. Mann enjoys reading about American Revolutionary and Sikh history. He also enjoys building race cars and hopes to participate in regional competitions when time allows.
