Venkata Parsa, MD, is triple board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in hematology, oncology, and internal medicine, and board eligible in palliative care. He earned his medical degree from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, completed his residency in internal medicine at Michigan State University, and his fellowship in hematology and oncology at the Karmanos Cancer Center at Wayne State University.
Dr. Parsa has been practicing medicine for 20 years and he has received numerous prestigious awards. He was recognized by Baltimore Magazine as a Top Doctor for three consecutive years, an honor awarded to less than 5% of physicians annually, based on peer ratings. He also received the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Mission Advancement Award for best patient care, becoming one of the first physicians in Maryland to earn this distinction. After his move to Fort Myers, he received two additional awards: the Passion for the Promise Award and Lee Health’s Exceptional Physician Award.
Dr. Parsa is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and the American Society of Hematology (ASH).
